The MLG Americas minor qualifier has finally ended, with three teams securing spots at the main event later this month.
Three teams have moved a step closer to their dream of attending the next CS:GO major this week with the conclusion of the online North American qualifier for MLG's Americas minor. 128 teams entered the initial open bracket, which whittled the field down to eight plus the eight invited teams in the playoffs stage.
Only the top three teams could advance to the minor, and with numerous highly skilled teams in attendance, the final matches were expected to be close. Fans were perhaps let down however with both Winterfox and Team SoloMid cruising past Detonate and Prospects respectively with back to back map wins. Without A Roof secured their spot with just a single map, taking out RivaL 16-10 on de_mirage. These three teams round out the list of eight that will be seen at the MLG Arena in less than two weeks:
