Luminosity have made a suprising roster change with the addition of Lincoln "fnx" Lau and Epitacio "TACO" Pessoa.
Seemingly out of the blue, Luminosity Gaming have announced that they will be making drastic alterations to their famous Brazilian lineup as the bring in two up-and-coming stars Lincoln "fnx" Lau and Epitacio "TACO" Pessoa to their roster. To make room for them, Ricardo "boltz" Prass and Lucas "steel" Lopes have been released from the team. Luminosity issued the following statement on the matter:
We feel it best to keep the discussions, reasons, and details private between the players and the organization. We have a tremendous amount of appreciation and empathy for each one of them. We are truly grateful for their contributions and they will not be forgotten. Our new squad mirrors this sentiment and will move forward and compete with full hearts and a viciously defined purpose, to once again be World champions!”
On Facebook, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo posted a response of his own:
Nak came to add a new blood and ideas to the team that were really helpful too.
Its been a while since we have been close to winning big games. Changing players are always the last ever possibility for us. We tried to make changes and adapt ourselves in order to get better results but we simply couldn't achieve it. We hope that with this change we will be able to improve once again our level, we know that we are close reaching our goals, we know where we could be and where we want to be. This decision, even being that harsh as it is for us, won't be purposeless. We will be back stronger! I wish goodluck to nak, boltz and steel. I will miss living with you guys. Thanks for everything and I'm forever proud of what we have done together.”
Additionally, Luminosity Gaming will be swapping coaches for their squad as well, Wilton "zews" Prado, who will take over the position from the team's longtime mentor Renato "nak" Nakano. LG now has the following roster:
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
Fernando "fer" Alvarenga
Epitacio "TACO" Pessoa
Lincoln "fnx" Lau
Marcelo "cold" S.
