Poland replaces Denmark at ESEC 2014 LAN

Poland will replace Denmark in the upcoming ESEC 2014 LAN finals.

The $15,000 tournament, which will be held on December 14-15 in Belgrade, Serbia was originally set to feature Denmark, Finland, France, and Sweden. However, Poland will now be replacing Denmark at the event due to "school and other commitments" from some of the Danish players.

Team Denmark player Jacob "Pimp" Winneche had the following to say about the situation:

Its with sadness that Team Denmark can't go to the LAN finals to defend last years championship! After a solid groupstage & bracket performence everything was in right place, to once again battle it out for the european championship. Unfortunately school and other comitments denied the likes of Xyp9x, Dupreeh, Device, myself Pimp, and some others to go for the finals. This means that we this year is unable to participate in the LAN finals in Serbia, and its with big sadness that we have to withdraw from the tournament. The ESEC guys have done everything in their power to sort this thing out, but nothing could be done. That's how it is sometimes, we'll just have to live by, and come back even stronger next year! Gl to everyone else participating, hope you will have an amazing experience, as we had last year in Serbia!! :)

Poland is set to face Finland at the ESEC semi-finals, where the winner of the match will face the winner of France vs Sweden in the grand finals for a chance to win the $6,000 grand prize and the ESEC 2014 champion title.

ESEC 2014 will have the following prize pool:

1st - $6,000
2nd - $3,000
3rd - $1,000

Team Poland has the following roster:
