iBUYPOWER wins CEVO-P Season 5 LAN.

iBUYPOWER has won the CEVO-P Season 5 LAN Finals in a surprising double Bo3 victory.

Team iBUYPOWER is once again your CEVO-P Champions. iBUYPOWER got decimated by Cloud9 in the upper bracket final with a scoreline of 2-0, but they sought out revenge. In the lower bracket final, iBUYPOWER took out NetcodeGuides with a decisive 2-0 victory.

In the grand finals, Cloud9 only had to win one Bo3 coming from the upper bracket, while iBuyPower had to win two Bo3s for the championship. The first Bo3 ended very quickly with a 2-0 score for iBuyPower. The first map of the series was de_cache where iBUYPOWER took a commanding lead on the Counter-Terrorist side, but when switching sides, Cloud9 began to mount a comeback, but iBUYPOWER closed out the map 16-13. The next map in the series was on de_dust2, which saw the two sides coming out neck and neck in the beginning, but in the end iBUYPOWER broke away to win the map 16-9.

In the second Bo3, we saw a thrilling three map series. The first map in the series was de_train, where Cloud9 previously beat iBUYPOWER 16-7, but this time around iBUYPOWER came out firing on all cylinders to take the map 16-14. The next map was de_dust2 where iBUYPOWER has usually had the upper hand in the past, but Cloud9 took the win 16-14, thanks to some outstanding individual plays from Kory "Semphis" Friessen. The third map of the series was de_cache where we saw Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham reign supreme with the AWP, and Mike "Shroud" Grzesiek get nearly 40 kills, and helping to secure the overtime for his team by getting an insane 3k with the CZ-75. In the end, iBUYPOWER still won the map and the tournament with a 19-17 score on de_cache.
