Virtus.pro to replace Team Dignitas at the ESEA Season 17 LAN Finals

Virtus.pro will be replacing Team Dignitas at the ESEA Season 17 LAN Finals due to Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth's "busy schedule and work and school commitments"

The Danish team recently qualified for the LAN finals following a second place seeding with a 11-5 win/loss ratio. However, one of Dignitas' players Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth has announced via his Twitter page that he will not be attending the event.

The next team on the waitlist is Virtus.pro, which came in 5th place with a 9-7 win/loss ratio. The team will be attending the ESEA Season 17 LAN Finals in Team Dignitas' place.

Christian Lenz, Virtus.pro's manager had this to say about the situation:

After failing to qualify for ESEA finals, we got the chance to replace dignitas. There is nothing to think about, we are going to Dallas again!

The $47,500 event will take place later this year from December 5-7 at the Double Tree Hotel in Dallas, Texas and will feature the following teams:

United States iBUYPOWER
United States Cloud9
United States Denial
United States eLevate*
Sweden Fnatic*
France Titan
Germany Mousesports
Poland Virtus.Pro*
