Mobility Gaming has announced that they will not be attending the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) due to financial issues.
The Canadian team had secured a spot at the international tournament after placing second the North American ESWC Qualifier earlier this year in Montreal, Quebec. However, the team made it clear that the players would not be able to attend the event without finacial support, as they attempted to get donations from the community relatively unsuccessfully.
The players later decided to look for an organization to bring them to the event (which will be held in Paris, France), also without much success.
There will now be an extra spot available for the ESWC tournament, which will be allocated for the Portugese/Spanish qualifier, which will take place on October 3-5 in Gaia, Portugal.
