This site aims to become a leading outpost for Starcraft 2 strategy once the game goes into beta and full release. Some readers will remember the old forum wc3strategy.com, where lots of content was available for free with the additional option of subscribing for a small fee to strategy guides written by top progamers of the time. Starcraftmethod.com will offer something very similar, and more. Currently the site has a very active forum and plenty of Brood War content, and is worth checking out, and GosuGamers have good reasons to believe that this site will provide a substantial contribution to the global Starcraft community in the future.

With an entirely different approach, this site is not even one month old but already thriving and growing. SCVideos.org does what it says - offering visitors the vastest and perhaps most accessible library of video material featuring Starcraft 2. Already it has begun to appear on places like Digg, reddit, del.icio.us and Stumbleupon and attracted well over 10,000 visitors since its inception in December 2009. If you have missed any of the many video clips released at various BlizzCons and other conventions it's on SC2Videos.org, or will be very soon. Since none of us have the option of playing the game yet, this is the closest thing we got to enjoying Starcraft 2, and odds are that this site will continue to be popular even after we get the beta since video always rocks.

Straying even further from what a conventional Starcraft 2 site looks like, ZergOverflow.com offers a very new and potentially groundbreaking feature. Based on the algorithm behind StackOverflow.com, the owner calls it "a Q&A site that answers your questions professionally and promptly". Basically, anyone can ask a question (not limited to the topic of 'Zerg' but about practically anything dealing with Starcraft 1&2) and then wait for it to be answered by any of the site's many users. This may sound simple and not overly revolutionary, but due to programming reasons that goes beyond the understanding of this reporter the process is incredibly quick and fluent. The database is growing and speaks for itself, and it's very possible that ZergOverflow.com will prove to be very useful resource in the future.
This list of site is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to new and exciting community-based projects around Starcraft 2, and if you know of any more - do let us know. If you are keen on joining the GosuGamers SC2-staff, that option is very much there, see the link below. Now all we need is that beta...
