Replays.net Interviews Tossgirl: Improving Her Game

Replays.net recently interviewed Tossgirl about life in the progaming world. HaFnium and alffla translated the interview at TL.net. "If I have the strength, I'll tell the coach I want to fight. But right now, I don't possess it."

Seo Ji Soo, better known as South Korea ToSsGirL, would rather be a strong woman than a gorgeous woman, though she feels the progaming world is quite glamorous in its own right. Her focus lies on hard work and success, and she spends little thought on the notion that her looks might be important in the gaming world.

All this aside, however, she feels she has yet to play any truly beautiful games. "Right now, my skills seem to be limited," she says. As such, she doubts she'll be making an appearance in Kespa, because she doesn't feel she deserves a spot.
"I started as Protoss, but PvZ was too hard for me. I then considered my high APM among female SC players, and naturally switched to using Terran." --Tossgirl

The negative reactions she's received on forums have been getting to her, and her mother has advised her to retire if she feels too much bitterness. That doesn't mean she's out: She's learning from every fight, and if she feels she has the strength, she'll compete.

Besides StarCraft - which she feels is better than love - Tossgirl spends time working on her website and watching American movies, although practice has been eating at her free time lately. But Tossgirl is firmly set on remaining part of the StarCraft community, even when she retires. By then, it'll be trainerhood she aspires to.
