Electronic Sports World Cup has published their rulebook for this summer's long awaited DotA tournament. No item nor hero bans are listed, but the rules still do raise some eyebrows.
In order to avoid tiebreakers in the group stage rounds, ESWC presents a new aspect called "Time Rating". It is a value inversely proportinal to the of a match, reads the rulebook.
Should a match round up to 20 minutes, the time rating will be 1/20 (0.05). That would grant the winning team a +0.05 time rating and the loser a -0.05 time rating.
Should a match instead finish after 60 minutes, the time rating would then be 1/60, granting a 0,0055 rating to the winning team.
The DotA prize purse in ESWC sums up to $24,500 which is the second best prize sum for all of the games in this year's edition.
ESWC is set to kick off in Disneyland, Paris on June 30.
