Only one single series remained as Alter Ego and EVOS Legends went head-to-head to secure a spot in the grand finals of MPL ID Season 11.
It has been a long journey through an epic Mobile Legends Professional League Season 11, as the event gets ready for its final day in Indonesia. However, before we got to the grand final, two teams would need to fight one another on the Land of Dawn, with the winner claiming their place against ONIC Esports in the final showdown. Alter Ego and EVOS Legends, two teams ready to put it all on the line and secure a spot at MSC 2023.
What better way to start off a best-of-five series than with a flawless victory, and that is exactly what AE did, destroying the White Tigers in only 15-minutes – and not losing a single player to their opponents. Nothing got better for EVOS in game two, as it was over just as quickly as it had begun, and they found themselves two games down with no respite in sight. With their backs against the wall, it seemed that only a miracle could save EVOS, and that is exactly what came.
It took some massive plays and smart manoeuvres from EVOS to finally make their way into the series, with a sneaky Lord kill and a quick backdoor to take the game and keep their tournament hopes alive. That first victory seemed to ignite something within EVOS, as they suddenly looked to be the team we know, setting the tempo and playing by their own rules. Shockingly, the 2-0 lead was now completely gone and just one game stood in the way of one of these teams and the grand finals.
In what can only be decribed as a miracle, the final game was another stunning showing of skill by the White Tigers, as they continuously pushed AE back. Eventually it was all too much and the reverse sweep was complete, with EVOS securing a 3-2 victory. This means that the MPL ID Season 11 grand final will be fought between EVOS Legends and ONIC Esports.
Unfortunately for Alter Ego, their season journey ends here in third place, after some amazing MLBB action throughout the early parts of the year. The team will also miss out on MSC 2023, which will see EVOS and ONIC represent Indonesia later in the year.
