Bruno, Diggie and Kaja MPL MY and ID

Bruno is making his impact on the MLBB meta

Bruno has suddenly jumped back into the MLBB meta in recent weeks, and we take a look at the reasons this hero is so strong.

Many heroes in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang come and go in the professional scene meta, but the Marksman is the most prolific – at times. For quite a while we have seen the dominance of heroes such as Beatrix, with her arsenal of power, and Wanwan too. Lately, we have begun to see Claude coming back into play too, but this past week in the Mobile Legends Professional League in Malaysia, Bruno has become quite the strong pick for many teams.

While we began seeing Bruno in MPL Indonesia before they went on a short break, with Rex Regum Qeon figuring out his importance, it seems the football star hero could play a big role across the board very soon. In the recent Week 2 of MPL MY Season 12's Regular Season, the hero saw five picks, with three wins coming from these. With an early game burst unlike many others, Bruno’s powerful basic attacks enhanced by both his passive and first skill cause him to absolutely decimate opponents without much effort.

This is something we saw paired extremely well with the likes of Kaja, Khufra, and Diggie. While both Kaja and Khufra can be strong direct counters to the hero, as he has rather poor defensive capabilities, teams have paired them together, eliminating a few of his counters. Bruno plays as a fantastic pick against teams playing a lot of Irithel and Claude at the moment.

Without much crowd-control (CC), especially in the early to mid-game periods, teams will definitely have a rough time dealing with Bruno. This means that by the time he has reached two or three items, even the CC may not be enough to stop him. This is also why pairing him with the likes of Diggie and Kaja is such a powerful choice, as both can offer Bruno space to constantly get his attacks in.

As the only hero in MLBB who does not use his hands when attacking, having been based on a football player, Bruno could very well see a lot more picks in the coming weeks as we return to MPL MY and ID, and the Philippines kicks off too. With Marksman still being quite pressed into a corner with the strength offered by Beatrix and Wanwan, Bruno could blast them away with his ability to control the early game so well. We will be looking out for Bruno in the coming weeks to see if he continues to dribble his way through the MLBB scene.
