MPL ID Season 12: Week 3 could bring teams closer to the top

MPL ID Season 12 enters its third week of Regular Season play, with a few interesting series coming up for eight of the nine teams.

Through the two weeks of the Mobile Legends Professional League Season 12 in Indonesia, one team has already gone out way ahead of the rest – while many of the rest are still falling into place. For Rex Regum Qeon, their fresh roster is currently unbeaten in a full series, while also completing two of their biggest opponents. However, on the other side, we have Alter Ego Esports and AURA Fire, two teams currently unable to find their footing.

Week 3 will see only one of those bottom teams with a chance to finally pick up the slack, as AE will not see any action this time around. With that said, let’s take a look at each day and some of the more exciting series of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang coming our way from MPL ID Season 12’s Week 3.

Thursday, August 3

Bigetron Alpha versus AURA FIRE
EVOS Legends versus Dewa United Esports

Hoping for a strong start to the week, Bigetron Alpha will be going in search of win number four, as they look to take the second-place spot away from ONIC Esports – if only for a short while. On that same note, AURA will be in search of a massive upset and their first series victory. Moving onto the second series, the White Tigers will need to prove themselves against a team that came out swinging into MPL ID Season 12, DEWA United Esports.

Friday, August 4

Dewa United Esports versus Geek Fam ID
AURA FIRE versus ONIC Esports

Day 2 features two series which could be completely one-sided, but as always in the MPL, anything can happen. For DEWA, they have definitely proved to be a strong contender, but Week 2 served them up a dose of both The Robots and the MSC 2023 champions, leaving them in the lurch. With that in mind, ONIC will be taking on AURA, which should be a walk-in-the-park for a team which is looking to take back the World Championship for ID.

Saturday, August 5

Rebellion Zion versus Bigetron Alpha
Geek Fam ID versus Rex Regum Qeon
ONIC Esports versus EVOS Legends

The biggest series of the weekend comes to us on Saturday, August 5, with ONIC and EVOS going head-to-head. The Season 11 victors and runners-up will be throwing everything at one another, as they hope to cement their positions in the Regular Season. With both teams having suffered a loss to RRQ in the opening weeks, this gives them a huge chance to take a strong position in Week 4 and the mid-way point of the Regular Season.

Sunday, August 6

ONIC Esports versus Rebellion Zion
EVOS Legends versus AURA FIRE

Sunday brings things down once again, with another two series which should be quite one-sided. For Rebellion to score a victory over ONIC would be one of the biggest upsets in a while at MPL ID, but it is not unheard of, while AURA will need to really pick up their game if they want to have any headway against EVOS Legends.

Although Week 3 at MPL ID Season 12 will not give RRQ much chance to extend their lead at the top, it does give the likes of ONIC and BTR to catch up. For AE, without any series this week, they will have to hope that AURA continue to struggle and that they can pick up the pieces next week.
