DRX have a seven-man squad with two junglers and two midlaners.
Former world champions DRX have rebuilt its roster from the ground up with the majority of the players coming from its Academy and Challenger squads. Kwang-Hee “Rascal” Kim remains as the only active player signed from last season while Ju-han “Juhan” Lee has been moved from the substitute to starting jungler role.
Instead of chasing after high-profile signings during the off-season, DRX has decided to give their Academy and Challenger players a shot at the LCK. As Rascal and Juhan will occupy the toplane and jungle respectively, former DRX Challenger jungler Bae “Sponge” Young-jun will be the rotation option. As for Kang “Kyeahoo” Ye-hoo, the former DRX Academy jungler will be moved to the midlane as a rotation option with Song “SeTab” Kyeong-jin.
SeTab is one of three new additions to the DRX squad who played on both the Challengers and Academy teams. He is joined by AD carry Park “Paduck” Seok-hyeon and Son “Pleata” Min-woo as the support. Both players have also played on both Challenger and Academy squads, which will work well given the level of experience all three players will bring to the team.
DRX had a torrid time this season after they failed to recreate the heights achieved during the 2022 season. As the majority of the championship-winning squad was broken up, DRX tried to rebuild with Geon-hee “BeryL” Cho as the only constant. Unfortunately, this led to a ninth-place finish during the LCK Spring Split, which saw DRX fail to get past the group stage. And while they did do better during the Summer Split, it wasn't enough for them to qualify for the regional finals.
They have also promoted Kim “Crush” Jun-seo from the Challengers coaching role to the first team, which will see him contracted to DRX until 2025. He will aid head coach Kim “Micro” Mok-kyoung as they look to bring DRX back to its former glory.
