Worlds 2022 champions DRX have announced their new roster for the upcoming season

DRX makes several changes to their roster for the 2023 season.

After losing its entire roster to free agency in late November, it came to a shock to many when the core group was going to be broken up. DRX has recently released its finalised roster for the upcoming 2023 season, which sees only two-time world champion Cho "BeryL" Geon-hee resigning with the organisation.

Joining him will be Kim "Rascal" Kwang-hee from KT Rolster, Kim "Croco" Dong-beom and Yoo "FATE" Su-hyeok of SANDBOX Gaming, and Seo "deokdam" Dae-gil, formerly of DWG.KIA. DRX has reinvested heavily into the new season with Lee "Juhan" Ju-han probably staying on as a substitute.

Of course, it won't be the same DRX that will be defending their title in the following season with four of its former core members having already found new homes. DWG may have struck the lottery in being able to sign Kim "Deft" Hyuk-kyu with deokdam going the other way. Deft was one of the reasons DRX managed to create a fairytale ending for themselves.

Hanwha Life Esports is another LCK organsation that invested heavily for the following season, bringing in both Kim "Zeka" Geon-woo and Hwang "Kingen" Seong-hoon. As for Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon, he decided to try his hand in the LCS, signing with Team Liquid. And with that, the four-fifths of the Worlds 2022 winning squad have split.

DRX will be hoping to kick their campaign off on the front foot with the 2023 season yet to be announced. With no official date for when the LCK Spring Split starts, they will have the time to test their new roster.

Finalised DRX Roster:

Kwang-Hee “Rascal” Kim

Kim “Croco” Dong-Beon

Yoo “FATE” Su-hyeok

Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil

Geon-hee “BeryL” Cho
