Turtle Master have finally done it, finally the team could overcome their most recent nemesis in Grand Finals MiTH.s2y. Now they are one of only three teams that ever hoisted the prestigious Championship Trophy of the G-League.
It was about time for Turtle Master to turn around history and finally overcome their biggest challenge in MiTH.s2y. For two consecutive seasons the Turtles could clinch the #1 spot after the regular season, in two different Grand Finals they faced off against MiTH.s2y (or Yamaha.s2y as they were called in the first clash), but twice the Turtles had to retreat into their shells, while Made in Thailand was celebrating a G-League title and the ticket to DreamHack Summer 2013.
Three time's the charm is an old saying, for the Thailand HoN team it was the most appropriate thing you can find. In their third attempt they could finally get past the dominant Thai teams ever since the Garena Star League 2013 - now they are almost on the same level.
The win still didn't come easy to the former DotA squad of Turtle Master, but for once they kept their calm and their composure, even facing a 0-1 deficit right off the bat. The first match of the day did not quite go in their favor with TurM trying to go for a mix between burst-oriented with Deadwood and Rally, while still holding their options to drag the game out and win late-game with a carry presence of Draconis. The plan failed though, with Mrsunz of Sorry Sorry once again on top of his game with Pebbles, snowballing heavily right from the get-go, holding Draconis and Rally in check. In addition to the burst of Pebbles, MiTH also handled their business with the ganking standouts like Parasite and Pyromancer, extinguishing every single spark of momentum that TurM tried to build up.
After that early setback the power shifted quite drastically in favor of Turtle Master, who went on a three map winning streak to secure their first ever G-League by Gview Championship. The second map featured GOD`HAND and `5678 playing pivotal parts in the game with their Doctor Repulsor and Wretched Hag wreaking havoc all across the map, the third game once again turned `5678 into a shining star with his splendid performance on Hag yet again. Him and Za_Nun on Chronos took charge of all phases of the game, helping TurM take the first lead in the series so far.
The match point game brought Wretched Hag and `5678 back together for a third consecutive time - with major success for the third consecutive time. MiTH.s2y seemed unequipped to deal with the agility and mobility of Wretched Hag haunting every single hero all around the map, letting him get into a great farming position once again. Three games in a row `5678 recorded GPM numbers above the 400 mark, three times in a row he had more than 13 kills attached to his name. Alongside with Za_Nun on Sandwraith he was forming a devastating duo once again, while GOD`HAND on Deadwood had a mighty struggle in the match point game.
Still Turtle Master looked dominant from the very moment they were faced with the 0-1 deficit, never looking back, never losing the composure, the cool or the cohesiveness in terms of their game. While TurM is now ruling the Thai HoN scene for one month, MiTH.s2y will represent the proud HoN nation in Jönköping,Sweden in just a couple of weeks. The DreamHack Summer 2013 is eagerly awaiting the experienced bunch that already surprised many people with their performance at the GSL, now they can display their power on European turf.
