The sixteen teams have been seeded into four groups and they’re ready to resume the fight for $10,000 this coming Monday.
Seven invited and nine qualified teams are coming into the third Enter the Storm main event. The biggest ETS yet will feature the best rosters in Europe vying for a five-digit prize pool starting next week. The new patch has changed the game in a massive way, and ETS will be the first opportunity for the top EU teams to showcase the new meta and, of course, Kharazim.
Each group has been seeded based on the performance of the teams. Team Liquid, Na`Vi, Gamers2, Fnatic, and Virtus.Pro are coming in as the favorites (having been pre-seeded due to their performance during ETS #2) but each will face heavy competition coming from some of the most solid rosters in the region. On the other hand, teams like Kappa123, Bob?, MYM, and Puszek have proved their worth by leading in points gained from consistent performances in the ETS #3 qualifiers. MYM and Bob? in particular have dominated the qualifier series, and should be taken as serious contenders to win to the $10,000 competition.
Mozza, PIP, and Hurones have just barely made it into the group stage through accumulating enough points over time, or winning just 1 qualifier as with the case of Moazza. They are the clear underdogs going into the group stage. A win from one of these teams would be considered a huge upset, especially against a pre-seeded team.
One group will be played and streamed on each playday, the dates for A-D being Aug 24, Aug 26, Sep 2 and Sep 4. We’ll make sure that you don’t miss a second of the action as the games will be streamed and casted by none other than Thomas “Khaldor” Kilian on twitch.tv/khaldor. Khaldor casted the entirety of the qualifiers for ETS #3 and he has been looking forward to the group stage for some time.
