Sixteen are ready to fight tonight for the HearthWars title. The first televised buy-in Hearthstone tournament will air on Reynad's stream tonight, featuring members of top teams like Tempo Storm, vVv, DKMR and more.
Announced earlier this month, HearthWars is a buy-in tournament where all invited players chip in $10 to contribute to the total prize pool of $160. Though the pot looks small compared to the constantly growing Hearthstone scene, HearthWars aims to make up for that with player esteem as the organizers have reached out to renowned champions and up-and coming players alike.
Names like Gaara, TidesofTime, ThatsAdmirable and DuckWingFace make for the best recognized group of players. They are joined by weekly cup powerhouses such as Kisstafer, Wampie, Ostkaka, Skip, Luigezz, Hosty and Semijew, as well as rising North Americans Dart, Atlanta, Isokaas, Freshca and CountChocula. Every player has been placed in one of the four groups and will aim to top it in order to qualify for the 4-man single elimination bracket.
