Over the weekend, Managrind has held another Managrind Open tournament, hosting players both from EU and NA. Joining the players this tournament, is Magic: The Gathering veteran, Tom Martell. Surprisingly, Tom has proved himself to be powerful as Hearthstone as he is in Magic: The Gathering by taking 1st place in the NA region tournament.
1st place goes to Tom Martell, with his multiple decks. The deck that has stood out the most was his [card]Mountain Giant[/card] - [card]Molten Giant[/card] deck. The deck held many removal and debuffs with cards such as [card]Soulfire[/card], [card]Ironbeak Owl[/card] and [card]Hellfire[/card], but at the same time had great late-game power with beefy cards like [card]Ragnaros the Firelord[/card] and [card]Molten Giant[/card].
Jigga grabs 2nd place wit his Control Warrior deck. The deck held great removal with cards like [card]Execute[/card] and also had great damage potential with the famous [card]Armorsmith[/card] - [card]Whirlwind[/card] combo. The deck contains great late-game power with legendarys such as [card]Grommash Hellscream[/card] and [card]Ragnaros the Firelord[/card].
3rd/4th place goes to Tm1228 with his Control Druid. The deck held the fearsome and famous [card]Force of Nature[/card] - [card]Savage Roar[/card] combo. The deck also contained great removal in it with cards such as [card]Wrath[/card], [card]Keeper of the Grove[/card] and [card]Starfall[/card]. Apart from that, the deck had some late-game cards such as [card]Ancient of Lore[/card], [card]Ancient of War[/card] and [card]Ragnaros the Firelord[/card].
Also grabbing the 3rd/4th place is Raskol with his low-budget Warlock deck. The deck is low budget seeing that the only cards included are free, common and rare. The deck has nice removal with cards such as [card]Soulfire[/card] and [card]Mortal Coil[/card]. The deck held many early-game cards like [card]Flame Imp[/card], [card]Knife Juggler[/card] and [card]Harvest Golem[/card], but at the same time had some late game finishers such as [card]Doomguard[/card] and [card]Argent Commander[/card]

1st place in the EU region goes to Warning1379 with his Control Paladin deck. The deck has great synergy with [card]Blood Knight[/card] seeing that the deck held many Divine Shield cards such as [card]Argent Squire[/card], [card]Scarlet Crusader[/card] and [card]Argent Protector[/card]. The deck had decent removal with a famous [card]Equality[/card] - [card]Consecration[/card] combo and a [card]Avenging Wrath[/card] for the late game.
Milithium grabs the 2nd place with his quite high-budget Druid control deck. The reason the deck is quite high-budget is the fact that the deck holds eight legendaries, with some of them being early game like [card]Bloodmage Thalnos[/card] and [card]Nat Pagle[/card], and most of them being late-game oriented such as [card]Cairne Bloodhoof[/card], [card]Hogger[/card] and [card]Cenarius[/card]. The deck although, had good early game drops with [card]Harvest Golem[/card], and also some removal with [card]Starfall[/card] and [card]Swipe[/card].
3rd/4th place goes to Delarium with his control Druid deck. The deck was similar in build to Milithium's deck, but had some changes here and there. This deck didn't include eight legendarys, but only five. The major change that you can see in this deck is that Delarium put in famous and fearsome [card]Savage Roar[/card] - [card]Force of Nature[/card] combo. The deck also held some decent removal with [card]Wrath[/card] and [card]Swipe[/card].
3rd/4th place also goes to munkbuisness with his control Shaman deck. The deck had great synergy with [card]Unbound Elemental[/card] seeing that some card had the Overload mechanic to it such as [card]Lightning Bolt[/card], [card]Stormforged Axe[/card] and [card]Feral Spirit[/card]. The deck also had nice synergy with [card]Gadgetzan Auctioneer[/card], [card]Bloodmage Thalnos[/card] and [card]Violet Teacher[/card] seeing that 13 of the cards in the deck are spells.
