Genshin Impact version 5.4 has a lot in store for travellers.
The upcoming version 5.4 update, Moonlight Amidst Dreams, which is set to release on February 12, 2025, has a lot of new and exciting things waiting for travellers: new events, new quality-of-life updates, and most importantly, a new character in Yumemizuki Mizuki!
But before we get down to the details of Genshin Impact’s version 5.4 update livestream, make sure to redeem the livestream codes before they expire!

Yumemizuki Mizuki debuts, Sigewinne, Wriothesly, Furina get banner reruns
The character banners for version 5.4 will feature an all new Inazuman 5-star in Yumemizuki Mizuki, who will go on a dual banner run with the lovable melusine nurse of the Fortress of Meropide, Sigewinne, for the first half of the update. The second half of the update will feature dual banner reruns for the former Fontaine Archon Furina, as well as the administrator of The Fortress of Meropide, Wriothesly.
Yumemizuki Mizuki
Yumemizuki Mizuki wields the Anemo element, with a catalyst as her weapon. She is the latest Inazuman character to be released after Chiori, who debuted as a Geo 5-star character back in 2024.
Mizuki has yet to make an appearance in-game, but information through her drip marketing has revealed that she is a clinical psychologist and a major shareholder of the Aisa Bathouse, located at the heart of Inazuma city.
Besides her profession, Mizuki is also revealed to be a yumekui-baku, a creature from Japanese folktale that’s said to devour nightmares. Mizuki is childhood friends with Yae Miko, is business partners with Kokomi, and good friends with Mualani.
After version 5.4, Mizuki will join the current roster of Standard Banner characters.
From the looks of her reveal in the livestream, Mizuki will be a support healer who can also take on a more offensive role, and will be capable of increasing the Swirl DMG of her fellow teammates.
Additional to her debut banner, Mizuki’s story quest will also be made available. This time around, keys are no longer required to unlock story quests!
Sigewinne, Wriothesly, Furina
On the other hand, Wriothesly is a Cryo catalyst user who’s known to pack quite a serious punch as a DPS. Furina is touted as the current premier meta support character, wielding the Hydro element with a sword as her preferred weapon. Sigewinne is a catalyst Hydro character who’s designated as both a healer and damage dealer.
Return to Inazuma with the Mikawa Flower Festival, among other new events
Version 5.4 will feature an all-new festival event in Inazuma known as the Mikawa Flower Festival. At the invitation of Kamisato Ayaka, the traveller will return to the Electro nation to participate in the celebrations, and will feature a number of beloved Inazuman characters like Yae Miko, Thoma, Kamisato Ayato, and even the Raiden Shogun among others.
Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival, which is jointly sponsored by Yae Publishing House and Aisa Bathouse. In this festival, humans and youkai will come together to perpetuate a centuries old tradition that’s sure to be a treat!
The mini-games in the event are as follows:
- A Little Fox’s Daydream - a platformer mini-game
- Bunshin Phantasm - a disappearing bridge mini-game
- Akitsu Harpastum - a mini-game with a Mondstadt twist
Each mini-game was created by characters turned wily participants in a 48-hour game-making competition. Participating in the mini-games will reward players with an event-exclusive 4-star weapon: Tamayuratei no Ohanashi.
The event will also feature an original story revolving around Raiden Shogun’s long-deceased friend, Mikoshi Chiyo.
Besides the festival event, other events to look forward to are as follows:
- Traveler’s Tales: Anthology Chapter - playable characters will appear on the map for travellers to interact with. Collecting enough anecdotes will earn travellers rich rewards.
- Realm of Tempered Valor - a combat event, which will feature 25 floors that needs to be cleared in 30 seconds.
- Invasive Fish Wrangler - a fishing event
- Reel Ad-venture - the filmmaker Xavier returns with an event, where travellers will need to make a commercial through a special editing screen.
- Automatic Artistry returns to Genius Invokation TCG
- Ley Line overflow - for more mora and EXP materials!
Quality-of-life updates
Genshin Impact version 5.4 will introduce a number of q-o-l updates set to make the game easier for dedicated players, here’s what to look forward to:
