Palworld’s next major update adds an island “six times” bigger than Sakurajima.

Game developer Pocketpair has announced Palworld’s next major content update, and it isn’t too far away. The update launches sometime this December, adding an all-new island for players to explore that will be “six times” bigger than Sakurajima in sheer size. The island is also described as the “harshest” island in the game to date, indicating that it will be filled with dangerous new Pals for players to discover.

Palworld announces major content update with new map

Pocketpair has announced an all-new update for its survival game Palworld, which launches this December. The big ticket item of this update is the addition of the “largest, harshest, and most mysterious new island in Palworld,” which looks to be six times bigger than the game’s last new island of Sakurajima

This new island will appear in the Palpagos Isles next month, populated with new dangers and Pals for players to face. Pocketpair’s preview images for the update hint at pretty diverse locales contained within this new unnamed island, ranging from cavelike underground structures filled with crystals to golden forests feature a new Warsect-like Pal.

Palworld’s last update added a new island called Sakurajima alongside more Pals for players to discover, more survival content for them to grind out, and lots of little balance and quality-of-life changes to make playing the game more fun. It’s safe to assume that this update will follow in its predecessor's footsteps with new Pals, new survival items and new places to explore.

That isn’t all Palworld has planned for the future, however. The game also recently announced an unexpected crossover update in collaboration with the hit indie game Terraria.
