Nintendo has surprised its Switch Online members with a new app that gives fans access to countless game discographies released throughout Nintendo’s history.
The application, called “Nintendo Music”, is a smart-device app exclusive to Switch Online that allows members to stream and download 40 years worth of Nintendo game soundtracks. Nintendo Music, which is basically Nintendo’s take on Spotify, is now available on iOS and Android in North America, the UK, Europe, and Japan.
Nintendo Music will let players create and share playlists, loop their favourite songs, and even hide tracks that may contain game spoilers. Users who download Nintendo Music will also be given recommendations based on their Nintendo Switch play history. Curated playlists based on characters, in-game moments, and moods will also be made available.
