Black Shrew Esports claimed the title of best Honor of Kings team in the world in absolutely dominant fashion.
Malaysia's Black Shrew Esports (BSE) took home the trophy at the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 after wiping Indonesia's Dominator Esports in a 4-0 shutout in the grand finals. With this victory, the Malaysian team also claimed the $300,000 grand prize and cemented their place as the best Honor of Kings team in the world.

In the first game, BSE opened with a strong combination of Yuhuan and Dolia. Meanwhile, Dominator got Adrian “Toshi” Bacallo’s signature Lady Sun with Lian Po to compete against their aggression. Early on, their plan worked as the Malaysian team's aggression was contained perfectly. However, that didn’t last long as, little by little, BSE’s discipline allowed them to take the lead and siege their opponent base. In the end, Dominator was forced to concede the first game of the grand finals.

The second and third games were also one-sided in favour of a disciplined BSE squad. Ilham “CipengZ” Aldiqri, usually a reliable anchor for Dominator, could not make up the difference on Biron and Augran in games two and three, respectively. With the Indonesians continuing to struggle to break BSE’s defenses, Dominator lost both games and thus trailed 0-3.
In game four, Dominator showed signs of life by getting the early advantage with Ho Zhe “Freddie” Khoo’s Han Xin. However, the lead only lasted until the mid-game, when BSE took advantage of Dominator’s small mistakes to cut the advantage and take control of the game themselves. BSE ultimately took game four and ended the series 4-0 to win the Honor of Kings Championship 2024.
BSE have now completed their quest to become the HoK world champions. With that said, the mystery of what will happen when the best team in China meets the best team in the rest of the world remains unsolved. The Honor of Kings Championship will return in 2025.
