Helldivers 2's latest major update addresses issues players have been having with the game, such as stratagem balancing.
This update features all-around buffs, nerfs, and rebalances to weapons, stratagems, and enemies are aimed at providing players with a better, more enjoyable experience. Not only that, Arrowhead is also in search for an extra pair of hands to work together with the omnipotent Game Master Joel.

New Game Master coming
Back in February, Arrowhead revealed that behind the scenes of every war a player can fight in Helldivers 2, is a single person named Joel who acts as the Game Master.
The Game Master has the power to dictate how the dynamic campaigns of Helldivers 2 will play out by giving out “Major Orders” to players to liberate certain planets from the hands of the Terminids and the Automatons.
But Arrowhead has now opened a position for another Game Master to join Joel in creating more dynamic campaigns for Helldivers.
New supply lines and origin of attack systems
In the previous version of Helldivers 2, Supply lines were not visible on the Galactic War map. However, with the patch update, players can now have the convenience of checking Supply lines easily on the map. Players will also now be able to see which planet an attack is coming from, allowing the potential to stop the attack at its source.
Stratagem rebalances
Arrowhead also made sweeping changes to stratagems to improve weaker ones and make others more consistent, all while keeping pretty much everything on the same power level. With that said, the developers assured players that they are keeping an eye on the stratagems and their usage to see if there are more in need of buffs or further rescaling.
Stratagems affected by this patch’s changes include the various types of Sentries, the HMG Emplacement, the Anti-Personnel Minefield, Incendiary Mines, the Orbital Gatling, the Orbital Precision Strike, Orbital Airburst Strike, the Eagle Rocket Pods, Eagle Strafing Runs, Grenade Launcher, Heavy Machine Gun, Patriot Exosuits Gatling, the Liberator, Stalwart, Guard Dog, Liberator Concussive, Adjudicator, Tenderizer, Purifier, Explosive Crossbow, Eruptor, and Diligence.
Gameplay changes
Helldivers 2 will have general gameplay changes. Firstly, a removal of the operation modifier AA-Defences, which will reduce the stratagem slots by 1. Next, the Retrieve Essential Personnel defend event mission has been disabled for the time being. And the Super Samples now spawn on difficulty 6.
Additionally, the SEAF Artillery stratagem will no longer be blocked by stratagem jammers or ion storms, and is available after the mission timer ends and the destroyer leaves close orbit. In the Evacuate High-Value Assets mission, enemies in melee range of the gate will attack more consistently.
Players can now also chat from in-game menus and mission loading screens.
Enemy rebalances
Terminid Bile Spewers, Nursing Spewers, and Bile Titans are now much easier to take down. Meanwhile, the Charger Behemoth will now start to appear in higher difficulties. As for the Automatons, Hulk Scorchers and Automaton Tanks have been made less lethal and easier to destroy.
