Genshin Impact character bugs HoYoverse should fix

Source: HoYoverse

In the aftermath of the Neuvillette bug fix and rollback, here’s what we think HoYoverse should focus on instead.

Manipulating a mouse DPI to have Neuvillette spin faster is way different than character bugs that immensely affect your game performance. Here’s three of the major character kit bugs that we think Genshin Impact should also fix (and give us Primogems for):

Mona’s C1

Mona’s C1 bug has been a well known issue in the community since her release in version 1.0 over four years ago.

Mona’s C1 is supposed to enhance Hydro-related Elemental reactions for 8 seconds, however this does not exactly include the Frozen duration, which should have been extended by 15%.

Mona’s C1 also does not cater to any Dendro reactions, like Bloom and Hyperbloom, which theoretically should also be included since these are Hydro-related reactions. Although Dendro as an element was only released back in version 3.0 and was not part of the initial elemental line up, Genshin Impact should have modified Mona’s constellation when Dendro came into the scene.

This bug makes Mona a little more annoying to play, which is tragic for her usability as she can be a great support if these were addressed.

Childe’s skill

Childe’s inability to plunge while his skill is active has been part of his kit since his release. But, let’s be honest, a feature like this is more of a bug when it is detrimental to a character.

Although it’s not as massive as Mona’s C1 discrepancy, Childe’s inability to plunge can affect your gaming experience when you’re in the overworld. Like in specific situations where for example, you end up being pushed off at the edge of a cliff while in his skill stance and in combat, you have no choice but to accept sending Childe to the other side because there’s no way to break the fall.

More than that, giving Childe the ability to perform plunge attacks while his skill is active gives this already strong character a new dimension that all other characters have access to. I’m sure there are Childe mains out there still waiting on this bug to be fixed so they can finally play a Plunge Childe team with Xianyun.

Considering that Childe is the only character who can’t perform a plunge when a skill is active, you would think that HoYoverse would focus on fixing it, but it seems like they just decided to forget about it.

Dehya’s burst

Dehya’s burst is probably the most disappointing burst in the game. Not only is it hard to control, it can also be easily cancelled with a simple jump or swap, which makes you think that she would have been better off as a forgettable benched 4-star than a 5-star.

Dehya has so much potential as a character, and before her release, was hyped up to be the next Pyro unit to look forward to. Which makes this feature a really painful character nerf that doesn’t fit her 5-star rarity.

A lot of complaints came up after Dehya was released, which fans could say rivalled, or even was bigger than the Zhongli issue. Genshin Impact should have pulled a Zhongli move on Dehya and fixed her kit to be a more player friendly experience.
