Lower bracket upsets at Elite League Season 2

The lower brackets of Elite League Season 2 served up a plate of upsets for fans as both beastcoast and Shopify were sent home.

The Elite League Season 2 has not been friendly to the South American teams. Five teams entered the foray and yesterday, one more team, beastcoast, was eliminated in the lower brackets. It was a crushing case of fratricide as BOOM esports annihilated their Peruvian brothers in a  2:0 sweep.

BOOM wasn't the only team to take unexpected wins either. Execration pulled a massive upset against Shopify, overpowering the NA-based team 2:1. After taking a loss in the first match, Execration pulled off a convincing victory to tie up the series. SR seemed to have the advantage for most of the deciding game – until they took two bad fights back-to-back about 30 minutes in, allowing Execration to turn the tides. A team wipe secured the SEA their victory moments later.

Both teams will continue their journey later today, but the road will be difficult. Just take a look:
