Twitch and Mineski Announces eSports Partnership

Twitch recently announced their partnership with Mineski Corporation, as a move to strengthen the Southeast Asian (SEA) eSports scene.

Twitch, the world’s leading social video platform and community for gamers, and Mineski Corporation have just announced the formation of a partnership that focuses on not only improving the quality of events and tournaments (Mineski Professional Gaming League - MPGL), but also supporting the Mineski eSports teams, Mineski.eSports5 and Mineski-X. Their partnership aims to expand eSports content and build infrastructure for broadcasters and fans.

Matthias Beyer, Partnerships Lead in Southeast Asia at Twitch:

Mineski and Twitch have been partners in Esports for many years, which is why we trust that Mineski will proudly Bleed Purple by wearing our logo when hosting events and when their players step up to the tournament stage. Our goal is to develop Esports content offerings in the Southeast Asian gaming industry and strengthen our long-term partnerships, while also supporting new broadcast talent and providing them a platform to become stand-alone Twitch celebrities.

Benson Te, Business Development Head of Mineski Cooperation:

Twitch’s support of both Mineski Pro Gaming League in the Philippines, as well as the Mineski Dota professional team lineup will make our Esports organizations and players a powerful force abroad. Overall, we are confident the work we are doing with Twitch will bring long-term growth and benefits to the Esports industry in Southeast Asia.

Mineski-X has also made an announcement recently on their Facebook page regarding their new roster:

Malaysia Joel 'Xtinct' Chan
Malaysia  Mohd Izzat 'Kidal' Hazwan Bin Zulkifl
Malaysia  Zai
Singapore Clement 'InsidiousC' Tan

The Southeast Asian Dota 2 professional scene looks hopeful with new partnerships and more teams coming together.
