GIGABYTE.Mineski to undergo roster changes

Mineski at GMPGL 2013

The troubled squad GIGABYTE.Mineski from the Philippines will try their luck in the DotA2 scene once again in 2014, after their mediocre results prior to TI4. The biggest change to their roster so far is the transition of Richard 'Paseo' Minowa from captain to coach.

The Philippines DotA2 scene will not be unaffected from the post-TI4 reshuffle. With both Execration and Mineski being disqualified from the SEA Qualifiers, it certainly seems that the rosters need to be renovated for the upcoming tournaments this fall. Today, Mineski announced their initial changes after the departure of their former captain Ryan 'Jay' Qui, in an attempt to form a new squad capable of taking down the best of the Southeast Asian region.

First of all, the team's former captain Richard 'Paseo' Minowa will no longer be an active member of Mineski, as he will take the role of the team's coach and substitute player for the new season. Jessie Cristy 'JessieVash' Cuyco will be the new captain, as the organization believes he is mature and experience enough for the role. As for the other players, the roster currently includes Joshua 'Owa' Dela Serna as a permanent member, while both Prieme Ejay 'PlayHard' Banquil and Jacko 'Jacko' Soriano are being tested and may or may not remain in the team.

As the number of GIGABYTE.Mineski players is now down to four, this means that we will be seeing at least one new player in the team. While no more information is available regarding this new acquisition, it is safe to assume that the new member will also be from Philippines, to ensure the good quality of communication and coordination within the team.
