First CS:GO Major of 2022 will be in Europe

PGL CS:GO Major Antwerp is to be held in the Belgium city in May with spectators expected for the playoffs.

PGL has just announced that they will be running of the first CS:GO Major of 2022, with the city of Antwerp, Belgium selected to host the tournament. This is on the back of PGL Major Stockholm 2021, the most successful CS:GO event in history for the company and the community.

The main event will take place inside Antwerps Sportpaleis, between May 19-22 with fans able to purchase tickets to attend the playoffs to cheer for their favourite teams. The tournament will have a prize pool of $1,000,000.

PGL CS:GO Major Antwerp 2022 will be the second Major to be broadcast in 4K, after Stockholm Major. They will also host the final RMR tournaments to decide the teams that will qualify for the Major. More information about these tournaments will be published on PGL's social platforms.

At the same time, PGL will be adapting their plans as they keep a close eye to the global pandemic, with announcements for any changes in the overall plan of the event made online.
