safee to join FURIA Esports and Team Vitality shakes up the roster for 2022.
With 2022 just around the corner, news of roster shuffles is coming fast as teams and players strategize for their plans in the next CS:GO season. One player rubbishing reports of movement, while another is set to join a new team. Lastly, a team is looking to revamp their roster after their loss in a recent major event.
Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz has rubbished his purported movement from NiP. In a series of tweets, he shared that he has instead taken some mental health time out as the year comes to an end.
He mentioned that he has been taking steps towards his recovery, and he is looking forward to getting back in the grind to be at the top of the game again.
At the same time, he implores everyone to give people time and space if the person is looking to have a mental health break, and not overreport and report false news on his status.
He will be back next year with Ninjas in Pyjamas for their 2022 season.
The Brazilian player Rafael “saffee” Costa is scheduled to join FURIA for the 2022 season. He is currently playing for paiN Gaming as their standout player, culminating in their berth at the 2021 PGL Major Stockholm.
His joining FURIA is on the back of him turning down the offer to join Marcelo “coldzera” David’s project. With paiN Gaming, saffee’s highest placement in 2021 in an A-tier event was at IEM Season XVI Fall: North America. The team placed fourth, just behind Team Liquid, GODSENT and FURIA.
FURIA’s 2022 CS:GO roster will be reportedly as follows:
- Andrei “arT” Piovezan
- Yuri “yuurih” Santos
- Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato
- André “drop” Abreu
- Rafael “saffee” Costa
After their defeat to Na’Vi in the grand finals of BLAST Premier World Finals, Team Vitality will be saying farewell to three of their members come 2022 season. This has been confirmed through the players’ reaction and comments on social media confirmed the upcoming movement.
The roster changes Vitality will make consist of the removal of Richard "shox" Papillon and Jayson "Kyojin" Nguyen Van from the active roster while coach Remy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam would be relieved of his duties, according to Dexerto and 1pv.fr.
The rumoured 3-men lineup to replace them is said to come from Astralis. The names Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Emil "Magisk" Reif, and coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen have been mentioned as the replacements for the team. The three have been on the bench of Astralis ever since Christian "k0nfig" Wienecke and Benjamin "blameF" Bremer joined Astralis.
