WePlay to host the official Russian broadcast for PGL Major Stockholm 2021

The Russian broadcast, for what is set to be the biggest CS:GO Major in the game history, will benefit from a studio set-up, augmented reality, stage segment rendered in AR and many other features as WePlay Esports are the official partners for the event.

While this is the first CS:GO Major that WePlay will host the official Russian broadcast for, this isn’t their first foray into the game. The company that kept the Dota 2 fans mesmerized with top notch production value at both Bukovel Minor and more recently at AniMajor has in their portfolio plenty of Countestike events as well. From online to studio setups and full fledged LANS, WePlay! Lock and Load, Forge of Masters league, and WePlay! Clutch Island brought a fresh approach to hosting an event in this discipline.

This is the greatest CS:GO event WePlay Esports has had the privilege of working on up to this day. I’m glad to report that our team is ready to take up a new challenge and reinvent how a premier-level esports tournament can look one more time.

Oleh Humeniuk, Chief Executive Officer at WePlay Esports.

For the first time in the game's history, the tournament will boast a $2,000,000 prize pool, making PGL Major Stockholm 2021 the biggest Major to date.

WePlay Esports will bring everything we have to make this event the greatest tournament in CS:GO history. Our proficiency, previous events’ experience, bleeding-end production technology, endless passion and desire to create something new, everything will be unleashed during PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

Maksym Bilonogov, general producer and chief visionary officer at WePlay Esports.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is scheduled to unfold October 23 to November 7, 2021 in a LAN setup in Stockholm, Sweden. Although it’s been already confirmed that The International 10, which should have also taken place in Stockholm, Sweden next month, is now searching for another host country, no delays or change of plans for the CS:GO Major have been announced by Valve and PGL.

A total of 24 teams will qualify for the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 via RMR events throughout the year, so stay tuned for further updates!
