Cloud9 sign tarik and RUSH, n0thing and shroud benched

Cloud9 have announced the addition of Tarik 'tarik' Celik and Will 'RUSH' Wierzba in place of long-time members, Jordan 'n0thing' Gilbert and Mike 'shroud' Grzesiek.

Last night news emerged of the addition of ex-OpTic Gaming representatives Tarik 'tarik' Celik and Will 'RUSH' Wierzba to the core CS:GO roster of Cloud9. As a result two slots required vacation, leading to the benching of Jordan 'n0thing' Gilbert and Mike 'shroud' Grzesiek, both of which have been part of the organisation's Counter-Strike roster for over two years.

It’s a huge day for me as I say farewell to my long-time team OpTic, and start my new adventure on C9. I really believe this will be a world-contending roster and I hope you, the fans, believe this as well! - expressed William 'RUSH' Wierzba

Tarik 'tarik' Celik expressed:

I’m super excited to be apart of the Cloud9 organization. I know that I have always been on the other side but I hope that the fans will welcome me in open arms. Summer is just getting started! #noshirtTV

It seems that the decision to bench/add players was made in order to see through improvement within Cloud9's roster. In the recent past the roster has shown lacklustre results, unable to live up to expectations set out by management. The most recent positive results was a second place finish at ESL One Cologne 2017, however prior to the aforementioned the team struggled to produce top finishes outside of local events, such as the Subaru Invitational 2017 and the iBUYPOWER Spring Invitational 2017.

Following the addition of the former OpTic Gaming duo, Cloud9 CS:GO is composed of the following five members:

United States Jake 'stewie2k' Yip
United States Timothy 'autimatic' Ta
United States Tyler 'Skadoodle' Latham
United States Tarik 'tarik' Celik
United States William 'RUSH' Wierzba
