Robin "GMX" Stahmer has implicated his former Epsilon teammates of throwing a ESEA match against OverGaming in early September of last year.
UPDATE: Epsilon has suspended the team until an investigation has been conducted.
GMX, who recently announced he would be leaving the professional scene, has released a statement to Vakarm.net where he admits to an alleged throw by Epsilon on September 22 against OverGaming during the ESEA Season 17 Invitational, where the French team lost 16:3 despite 46% to 54% odds in their favor.
The retired player also states that various acquaintances of the Epsilon roster at the time were informed of the match fixing beforehand and profited from it. However, GMX admits that the team "did not plan this together, and every player acted on its own to get their skins back." As in the iBuyPower scandal, no bets were placed from the personal accounts of the Epsilon players, although GMX explains that he himself placed bets on the match "via a friend."
Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom has vehemently denied the accusations on Twitter, saying that GMX is making up the scandal to get back at his former teammates. In addition, Joey "fxy0" Schlosser and Kevin "Uzzzii" Vernel also have issued similarly repudiative tweets.
