The long awaited changes on the map pool is a breath of fresh air for Starcraft II players.

Frozen Temple is a two player map filled with small chokes and a few ramps. With a natural base that can easily be walled off, and destrucitible rocks blocking two main paths, this icy map would surely be a protoss favorite.Â

Ruins of Endion is another two player map with an interesting mechanic. The two bases are close by air, but they are blocked by destructible rocks in the middle that can open up a gold base. Another interesting aspect is the collapsable rock tower outside the natural that can cut off four entire bases, essentially making the map a treat for people who just want to macro without being harrassed.Â

Invader LE is a four player map that is set to replace Central Protocol. Similar to its predecessor, this map has a difficult to take third base, but once secured, has an easier fourth base. Four gold bases are also placed in the middle of the map that would surely be a place of contention during pushes.Â

Korhal Carnage Knockout LE might be the coolest name for a map ever. Add that to the plentiful destructible and collapsible rocks that are scattered all throughout the 8 different spawning locations, this map could drastically change the way Starcraft II is played.Â
