The third season of GomTV sees its start on March 29, with once again a 150-player-tournament and a hefty 40,000,000 won (~€21,300) prize sum for the winner. The first broadcast from the first round will feature among others Seo Ji "Tossgirl" Soo and Greg "IdrA" Fields.
Last season saw Kim Taek "Bisu" Young take the gold medal after defeating Heo Yeong "JangBi" Moo. Bisu then went on to play Lee Jae "Jaedong" Dong in a special event to see which seasonal champion was the strongest. After a thrilling 3-2 series, the Zerg player from Hwaseung Oz came out victorious over the Protoss.
128 will start out in the first round, and in the Round of 32, another 32 invited players will enter the fray.
Mathes will continue to be broadcasted in English by Nick "Tasteless" Plott and Daniel "SuperDaniel" Lee. The videos will as per custom also be uploaded and accessible on the GomTV webpage.
