For the third time, Jamie John "Midian" Hallam will represent United Kingdom in the World Cyber Games.
By defeating KwarK in the final at the i34 Multiplay offline event, Midian will be the ninth player so far this year to have qualified for the World Cyber Games finals in Cologne, Germany. After a complete run-over in last year's final, Midian gets another shot in Cologne.
Three players were playing the offline finals. Aside from Midian and Kwark, a player called Ch3m1cal showed up to enter the tournament. Playing a round robin to determine the final players, Midian and Kwark could with ease sail through, both with a 2-0 score over the unknown player Ch3m1cal.
The Templars of Twilight player and WCG two-time veteran Midian could then in the grand final eliminate Kwark by a 3-1 score. Maps played were Blue Storm, Andromeda, Othello and then Andromeda again for the fourth game. Kwark was able to win on Othello thanks to a well performed dark templar/corsair/zealot/dragoon mix. For an extensive report, read Kwark's blog entry accessable in the link below.
