Testie Sweeps WCG Nationals

Proving once again that he is the dominant force to beat in Canada.

Canada's top StarCraft players met in Toronto Friday to compete in the country's most prestigious gaming championship, the World Cyber Games.

For three days the players would battle it out for a chance to claim overall victory, and today, it was star player Nick "Testie" Perentesis who earned the title of Canada's best StarCraft player. But this comes to no surprise for the confident Canuck, as he predicted winning WCG Canada over two months ago in an interview with Cybersports Entertainment Inc.

"There are certainly players who can challenge me. I can most definately lose there, as we have some very skilled players," said Testie during the interview. "But I do expect to win it, and they expect it too. If they say otherwise, they are lying."

And from the looks of it, Testie had every right to make such a boast; as he would progress through the tournament without a single game lost in each match.

While Testie doesn't make such claims for the outcome of the Grand Finals in Seattle, he has said that he is going there with only one intention in mind.

The goal is to become champion, said Testie.

"Going there with anything less than the objective of being the champion is a sure way to lose the tournament."
