With the conclusion of the group stage of the Overwatch World Cup in Europe, ESL released the knockout stage bracket. Let's take a look at some of the matchups!
ESL announced the knockout stage bracket of the Overwatch World Cup following the conclusion of the European group stages. The knockout stage determines which teams will participate in Blizzcon's LAN event. Every team wants a chance to visit sunny California and compete in front of tons of fans, so the upcoming matches are of much importance. The format of the upcoming tournament is 6 matches featuring the 12 seeded teams; each match will be a best of 5 between a random number 1 and 2 seed. You can see the bracket below.
There are certainly some interesting matches, such as a battle of the McCrees in TwoEasy vs Taimou, or a David-and-Goliath style match between Italy and Sweden (respectively). Be sure to watch out for matches when they are scheduled, as teams will decide on the times shortly. You can often find the streams for these matches by keeping up with players' Twitter accounts.
Of course, the 6 winners will attend Blizzcon on November 5 to represent their country, so a lot is on the line.
