Hometown team eStar makes it to the finals of World Cyber Arena 2015 to fight against Koreans, MVP Black for the top spot and the $125k prize.
Even though teams from Group A automatically advanced to the playoffs due to compLexity and Cloud9 dropping out, Group B was the dominate force throughout the playoffs.
MVP Black and eStar closed out the World Cyber Arena Heroes of the Storm competition with an epic grand finale of Korea v. China. Both teams came out of Group B, arguably the toughest group in the competition. The hometown team, eStar, was a top favorite and squeezed into the playoffs with a loss to Team Liquid and MVP. Up until the finals MVP had only lost one game which was to Team Liquid in the group stages. Seeing these statistics you may wonder how Team Liquid didn't make it farther? Due to the single elimination format TL was eliminated in the quarterfinals after a loss to OMG.
During an interview at WCA eStar even said that one of the toughest teams at WCA was MVP Black and they were right.
Both teams played aggressive, not even picking strong supports in the first two matches, instead trading Kharazim picks in game one and two. Games were tied after two but MVP Black came out champions taking games three and four.
MVP has now won 6 matches in a row and takes over the #1 spot over Cloud9 in the Gosu rankings.
