eSports club G2 have announced all 16 Hearthstone players competing in their $3,350 prizepool invitational this weekend.
The massively skilled Class Legends roster includes three of G2 Esports own team members; Thijs “Thijs” Molendijk, Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy and Radu “rdu” Dima, as well as other top ranked competitors such as World Champion Sebastian “Ostkaka” Engwall, Jan “Super JJ” Janssen and Aleksandr “Kolento” Malsh. On top of hosting the tournament, G2 will also be providing live coverage in a handy choice of English, French and Russian language streams, with everything kicking off from 11am CET this Saturday.
Whilst online invitationals of this size are an increasing rarity in Hearthstone, that hasn’t stopped G2 Esports from setting their first ever tourney even further apart by employing a single-class format. The called upon players can only bring along two decks from one class type, with the loser switching up between matches in a best of five game. Further compounding the competition’s uniqueness is the addition of Marc Kennedy - a player ambassador stepping over from Full Tilt Poker.
