Purple, GreenSheep and ShtanUdachi top the HWC leaderboards in the west

Fresh off his DreamHack Winter championship, Ryan “Purple” Root starts the year with a juicy amount of HWC points.

The race called 2016 Word Tour is on the way and it began in the final days of last year with DreamHack Winter, the first tournament to give HWC points for the new season. Following a 12-1 run through the most stacked DH event to date, Americas’ champion Purple pocketed 15 HWC points. Added to his 5 from ladder, the Canadian is now leading the competition in the Americas region ahead of other distinguished ladder players like Fibonacci, Muzzy and Dart. Currently, Purple is also on the top of the GosuRankings, starting 2016 on a very high note.

In Europe, a tie between Russian player ShtanUdachi and UK’s Greensheep, each with 15 points, topped the leaderboards. Multiple players are tied for the second place at 12 points, including Crane333, Pavel and Yogg.
