Last weekend in Prague brought many unforgettable moments, from crowning the first ever European champion, to Lifecoach’s rollercoaster of emotions in his game against Pavel. Let’s relive them all.
On October 4th, Thijs “ThijsNL” Molendijk became the inaugural Hearthstone champion of Europe. Following a rapid rise in his performance in the second half of the year, the Dutch came to win back-to-back championships, counting his triumph at ATLC as part of the Nihilum line-up.
But the competition in the Czech capital was more than just Thijs’ ascend. It was about players fighting to survive the pinnacle of all groups of death with Thijs, Hoej, Ostkaka and Maverick. It was about Lifecoach’s near elimination from the tournament. It was about underdogs like Gera and Pavel shooting for the biggest of stages and about Dragon Priests kicking ass and taking names.
