After Ostkaka qualified for BlizzCon last weekend, Na'Vi seems to be off to a very good start in the Hearthstone scene.
The eSports Arena Hearthstone Invitational was hosted by Brian Kibler as one of the very few LAN events to happen on American soil and came with a whopping prizepool of $25,000. It featured all the big names of the NA scene alongside Fade2Karma's Apostolos "Hawkeye" Karaiskos from Greece and Natus Vincere's Sebastian "Xixo" Bentert from Germany.
Ironically, both European players ousted all of their American opponents only to meet each other in the quarterfinals of the event. Xixo won with 3-1 and also defeated open qualifier Astrogation in the semifinals. The only player remaining in the Na'Vi player's wake was Hearthlytics' Justin "JAB" Black, who will play in the North American qualifier for BlizzCon this very weekend. After all, he too couldn't stop the German on his way to win the $10,000 first place prize.
Xixo won with the expected line-up of Midrange Druid, Demon Handlock and Patron Warrior. However, his Druid deck came with a twist: Instead of [card]Druid of the Claw[/card]s it featured [card]Feugen[/card] and [card]Stalagg[/card]. You can check out the decklist below.
