Malygos Warlock might be all the rage now, but there are more classes in this game that can kill through spells.
We know you’ve seen a lot of Freeze Mages. And even some [card]Malygos[/card] Freeze Mages. In fact, the 4/12 spellpower dragon was often seen as a replacement for [card]Pyroblast[/card] in traditional lists, with no other changes to the rest of the deck.
StrifeCro, however, does makes one very minor change. He puts in a single [card]Duplicate[/card]. With 2x [card]Ice Block[/card] and 2x [card]Ice Barrier[/card] being the standard set of secrets in freeze Mages, not many would expect Duplicate, but as it turns out, it can be pretty good.
In a clip from his YouTube channel, StrifeCro gets triple [card]Emperor Thaurissan[/card]s, making his hand free over the course of several turns. While his opponent is forced to trade into the mighty dwarf, StrifeCro keeps drawing until he gets [card]Malygos[/card], accomplishing the “Freeze Mage dream”, killing an opponent from full 30 health points.
