After the success of hosting the Blizzcon group stages ESL have announced their studio in California will play host to a twelve week tournament series for a grand prize of $20,000, with each weekly tournament having opportunities for open qualifiers to test their mettle against top pros.
ESL have announced the Hearthstone Legendary Series, a twelve week series of tournaments that will conclude with a $20,000 grand finals. Eight online Legendary Match Day tournaments will be held over eight weeks, starting November 22, with points awarded to the top three finishers in these cups. The top eight players after the twelve weeks will be flown out to Burbank, California to compete for the $20k in the grand finals.
Each Match Day will feature two players from the open Challenger Tournament held each week from November 16. These tournaments are open to anyone and also have an individual prize of $500 each.
