Announced on January 6th, Animal Planet has already been picked up and signed by an up-and-coming Canadian organization - Iceberg Esports.
In leiu of an official statement, the CEO took to reddit to introduce the organization to fans since the community had beaten the organization to the punch and information was released while the website and statement were still under construction.
I just wanted to introduce myself and our organization. For those of you who don’t know, Iceberg Esports is an up and coming org from Canada and we are very focused on the development of the NA scene. We were extremely excited that we were able to pick up an all NA roster that can compete at the highest levels. It has taken a lot of time, preparation, and resources to put a Canadian organization on the global stage in DotA DOTA 2, and we are super glad that everything has come together the way it has.”
The team has already secured themselves a place at the GESC Indonesia Dota 2 Minor set to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia in March 2018. The team qualified for the regional qualifiers for EPICENTER XL, is aiming for a place in the DAC 2018 regional qualifiers and hoping to receive a regional qualifier invite for DreamLeague Season 9.
