ESL One Genting 2018 has extended the fifth invite to Evil Geniuses.
Hot off their impressive run at DreamLeague Season 8 Major, the North American giants were the true kings of the lower brackets. After being dropped to the Lower Brackets quickly by Team Secret right out of the gate in their first series, they then went on through the lower brackets with a flawless performance, sweeping through Infamous, Virtus.pro, and Na'Vi until the lower bracket finals where they went head to head with Team Liquid.
Although the European team was too much for EG to handle, their imposing presence in the ProCircuit is certainly intimidating and warrants much respect from their opponents and organizers alike. The TI5 championship team will start off the new year with an appearance in the Captains Draft Minor, followed by Galaxy Battles II Major and then finishing January off at ESL One Genting 2018 from January 26-28th.
ESL One Genting 2018:
Sixteen teams - ten directly invited and six qualified from around the globe will gather at the Arena of Stars in Genting’s Highlands Resort and battle for a total prize pool of $400,000 and 400 Pro Circuit Points.
