The English broadcast team for DAC 2017 was announced by Wykrym last night via twitter and it’s fully packed with well-known commentators and analysts.
With Paul 'ReDeYe' Chaloner topping the bill as main host of the Dota2 Asia Championships 2017, the announcement of the English broadcast team also marks the return of David 'LD' Gorman to the casting desk and brings to the Dota 2 fans EG’s CEO, Peter 'ppd' Dager to the analysts panel. The list includes a total of 14 names, all amazing and at the top of the audience preferences.
Jorien 'Sheever' van der Heijden and Jake 'SirActionSlacks' Kanner will also be attending the 2017 DAC, both well-known for their unique behind the scenes video content. And looking at what Perfect World prepared for us for the second edition of DAC, the Slacks - Sheever duo will surely have a lot of work to do in China as the tournament brings back some of the old features of The International, like the 1v1 tournament and the All-Star-Game.
DAC 2017 will kick off at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in ten days time, on the 27th of March, with a group stage ahead of the main event. The twelve attending teams will be split into two groups of six and will battle in a bo2 Round Robin group stage from which top two of each group will secure an upper bracket main event start, while the bottom four will fight for their lives from the lower bracket. The main event will commence on the 1st of April with a whopping $500,000 prize pool up for grabs.
