Forev returns to his homeland South Korea and the team where he made a name for himself - MVP Phoenix.
The news was announced by MVP’s Kim 'QO' Seon-yeob on Twitter today.
MVP Phoenix is one of the invitees for the Boston Major and the substitution rule that Valve introduced recently will allow Lee 'Forev' Sang-don to take part in the event. According to QO, Forev will sub in for the Boston Major, playing core position (most likely offlane), while Kim 'Febby' Yong-min will go back to his support duties. With Forev’s arrival, one of the current players will most likely be dropped as a sub. The offlane role is currently played by Kim 'Velo' Tae-sung and it would be a safe assumption that he is the one that will be replaced.
Forev left MVP alongside MP in the post TI6 shuffle and joined Puppey’s Team Secret. His spell there was short, as the team failed to qualify for the Boston Major. A week ago it was announced that Forev would be leaving the team and Escape Gaming’s former offlaner Maurice 'KheZu' Gutmann was shortly announced as the replacement.
MVP’s current lineup:
Kim 'Febby' Yong-min
Kim 'QO' Seon-yeob
Kim 'Velo' Tae-sung
Lee 'Reisen' Jun-yeong
Kim 'DuBu' Doo-young
Lee 'Forev' Sang-don
MVP Phoenix is playing at the APAC WESG Asian qualifiers these days after failing to qualify for the Summit 6 and Dota Pit League Season 5.
