The eighth season of MPGL SEA Championship LAN finals is ready to commence this weekend and will run between 9th to 11th of September, with the best teams from the region battling for the $50,000 prize pool.
Four teams received direct invites while six more joined them through the MPGL League divisions. The four direct invitations went to Fnatic, MVP Phoenix, EHOME.Keen and White Fries Gaming. While Fnatic already officially announced their new roster, MVP Phoenix stated that the line-up participating at the event is not final.
The six qualified teams will first have to play a preliminary group stage consisting of one game series, and only four will make the playoffs bracket. Winners of each group will be seeded in the upper bracket while the second and third place teams from each group will begin the playoffs from the lower bracket seats.
The entire event, including the group stage will be played in a LAN setup starting tomorrow, September 9th, at the Selangor Cyber Games in Malaysia.
