Valve has released the broadcasting schedule for The International 5 and assigned casters to each match. The hype-caster for the Grand Finals will be Toby 'TobiWan' Dawson from JoinDota, and his partner on the analytical cast will be Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen from DotaCinema.
The Tobi/Synd casting duo is highly regarded in the community and is considered by many to be one of the best combinations in the scene. While the duo commentated on many games during TI4's main event, the Grand Finals were assigned to TobiWan and Lumi. This will be the third International Grand Finals cast by TobiWan, and the first since TI1 not cast by Lumi, who will not be working the event.
In addition to the Grand Finals assignment, Valve has finalized the casting teams for the rest of the main event, as well as the wild card matches and group stage. David 'LD' Gorman tweeted both casting schedules earlier today.
ODPixel and Purge will evidently cast six "newcomer games" during the main event on a separate stream. ODPixel, who is new to The International, will also cast other main event matches alongside syndereN on the primary stream. All main event matches will be cast by TobiWan, SyndereN, ODPixel, LD, Capitalist, Blitz, and Purge (newcomer stream only). These casters will be aided in the group stage and wild card matches by Wagamama, KotlGuy, Godz, Zyori, and Draskyl. The group stage analyst desk will consist of Chobra, SyndereN, Merlini, and Winter.
